Vegan micro-sanctuary on 10 acres with around 20 nonhuman animals (mostly large nonhuman mammals).

“Helping hands, especially on a regular basis, and live-in volunteers would be very much appreciated as well, with a separate one-room building being available, which, though very basic, contains all necessary facilities. Just drop me an email if you’re interested in supporting me physically.

If you wish to support us financially towards food, bedding, vet bills, farrier, supplements, care and maintenance costs, you could do so through Paypal (heartstone@riseup.net), email for more options. Heartstone is not a registered charity yet and so cannot accept donations, but we are free to receive gifts of friends and supporters.”

“We currently care for 30 residents: chickens, dogs, cats, rabbits, African land snails and rats. We are a team of two humans, one of us working full time outside the sanctuary. The hens we care for were heavily genetically manipulated in the egg industry and now require implants to stop laying.”
